Blowing Rock is a spectacular location for fishing. It is a rock about 8 miles South of the island that holds large schools of Barracuda, Jacks, King Mackerel, and more.
Target Species: Barracuda, Jacks, King Mackerel, Cero Mackerel, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish.

Kingfishing: King Mackerel are abundant and very large. They range from 10-50+ pounds. These beasts can make your drag squeal and put up one hell of a fight. Kings can be caught as close as 1/2 mile offshore but the biggest ones are caught about 2-8 miles offshore.
Target Species: King Mackerel

Offshore Deep Sea fishing involves the real monsters of the sea. Since fishing grounds are relatively close, about 13 miles until the Continental Shelf drops off, offshore fishing is not a long ride away. Fishing out there can be fast and furious.
Target Species: Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and Wahoo.

Rivers and Lagoons: Also trips can be arranged to go to the river mouths and lagoons of the mainland to go after world-class Tarpon and Snook.
Target Species: Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevelle

Dock Fishing: Or if you just want to sit down at the bar, throw out a line, and see what happens; then the restaurant at Anastasia's is your ticket to good fishing without the hassle. Check out these photos of fish caught from the restaurant.
Target Species: Dog Snapper, Jewfish

Pacific Coast: Here are a few photos of Roosterfish caught on the Pacific Coast. We still argue over whose is bigger.
