Anastasia's on the Sea is a tropical island getaway unlike any other.  Located on the beautiful north shore of Great Corn Island, 45 miles beyond the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, lies this lush island paradise.  Unspoiled and off the beaten path, Corn Island retains the character of other Caribbean islands before the advent of sky rise hotels and mass tourism.  Instead, Corn Island is rich in Central American culture, lush jungle, deserted white sandy beaches, vibrant coral reefs, biodiversity, and schools of exotic and tasty fish.
The Hotel: Anastasia's 17 hotel rooms are perched looking out over the majestic Caribbean Sea.  Its location on the windward side of the island provides a constant and refreshing breeze.  Each room includes air-conditioning, satellite television, private bathroom, hot water, and two comfortable double beds.

The Restaurant: Anastasia's restaurant sits about 100 feet out over the turquoise water.  This allows for truly breathtaking views of sunrises, sunsets, and Little Corn Island.  Table fare includes Caribbean style cuisine with traditional Nicaraguan specialties and only the freshest seafood.  From the bar there is always ice-cold beer, specialty rum drinks, and after hours fun Corn Island style.  Also there is a marine park specifically designed for snorkeling the amazing coral reef that is just a few yards away from the restaurant.

We also provides some of the best watersports opportunities in Nicaragua.  Try snorkeling, kayaking, sport fishing, fly fishing and much more.

In the Press:
Here is what Diane Webner of the L.A. Times recently had to say about the Corn Islands, "This Central American outpost is far off the travel grid, but the payoff is solitude, scenery and some of the best water sports in the Caribbean-- at bargain rates."

She also mentioned Anastasia's, by writing, "Diving and fishing are the big deal on Great Corn. The best snorkeling can be reached by foot (or fin) at Anastasia's on the Sea, on the eastern side of the island.  From this hotel, which also rents kayaks and fishing rods and offers sport-fishing trips, snorkelers can walk out 60 feet and explore the reef for $3 an hour.  Anastasia's co-owner, Robert Finley, a North Carolina native and fishing aficionado, says the fly-fishing on Great Corn is the best on the planet.  'You can troll near shore and get kings, mackerel, barracuda, mahi-mahi, grouper, snapper — I've caught some that are 40 pounds,' he said."
